What is this Update Artist Identity webpage?
Chartmetric is a music industry tool used by labels, artists, managers, live music venues, distributors, digital marketers and many professionals in the music industry space.
It collects business information from over 30 sources, including streaming and social media platforms from around the world, for over 5 million artists in dozens of markets around the world.
The pronoun and gender dataset on this website is primarily used in Chartmetric’s app, which can be edited there (preferred), or via an online form. It is also being shared openly for any business, organization or institution to use to support music industry study and foster gender equity.

To verify an artist’s pronoun and gender data, search the table below. If you find an error, click through to their Chartmetric artist profile to make an update. If you can’t find an artist at all, submit their pronoun and gender data via one of the two buttons below.
This dataset will be continually refreshed over time by Chartmetric, as new data is published and as artists and their teams send input.
If you’d like to start a free Chartmetric account to update your artist pronouns and gender, log in, search your artist name, and navigate to the top of your Artist Page. You’ll see a small pencil “edit” icon, which you can click and edit as you see fit.
If you’d like to update your artist pronouns and gender without logging in to Chartmetric, click the below button. This will take slightly longer, as it will first need to be manually reviewed. Note: Your pronoun and gender data will still be updated in Chartmetric if you choose this option.
